Futuristic Friday #3

The 3rd installment in my #FuturisticFriday series features Dexter Wansel.

Dexter Wansel was involved with the mighty Philadelphia Records in the mid-70's and helped develop the Philly sound with Gamble & Huff and others. In 1976 he released the soul/funk/r'n'b album Life on Mars. The album has a vaguely unifying concept of space and sci-fi. It's groovy stuff and the title track featured here is great. As I mentioned in my first post there was a certain conjuncture in the 70's between disco/popular music on the one hand and sci-fi and space travel on the other and these things are most certainly reflected in 'Life on Mars'. Enjoy!
